Hello there! We are a friendly team of Los Angeles wedding photographers. Our goal is to deliver candid, authentic storytelling of your wedding day. We document the openness you have with each other, your family and friends, and convey a visual message that resonates in your heart. As 'cinematic wedding photojournalists' we anticipate, seek out, and search for the stories that make up the sum of your day...your love story.
We will direct you through the portrait session in a way that draws out your unique personality while also conveying an artful aesthetic. We travel as far North to Santa Barbara, South to San Diego and East to Palm Springs.
Our Wedding Style
Our wedding photography straddles the cinematic and photojournalism genre. We frame you in light and shadow. It creates mood, depth, nuance, passion, mystery, contrast and harmony - just as in real life. Our portfolio is incredibly consistent - what you see stylistically, compositionally, the colors, or the rich tones in our black and white photos, this is exactly what you are going to get! We do not work off of 'shot lists', our approach is to keep our eyes and ears up to the story around us and preserve those moments on film, forever. This is an immersive technique that keeps us from staring down at a shot list and missing important moments. We are immersive storytellers.
Fitz has worked as a Los Angeles wedding photographer for over 8 years. As the owner of Two Penguins Studio, Fitz runs the business, manages all client relations, photo processing & retouching, album design, and manages the professional mentorship program for his team.
Fitz retains all creative control over the content produced at Two Penguins Studio, personally editing all weddings. He uses the same rich colors and eye-popping editing techniques to the Penguin brand. Fitz was named 'One of the best wedding photographers in LA' four years in a row by Zankyou Weddings, and 'Best Wedding Photographer in 2018' by the LooksLikeFilm photo community.
He launched Two Penguins Studio in 2017 as a sister company to his boutique brand, Fitz Carlile Weddings, where we invite you to visit if interested in having him shoot your wedding, engagement or proposal.
Will fell into weddings by accident. He shot a friend of a friend's wedding and immediately fell in love with it. A wedding photographer for about 7 years now, Will loves the raw emotions of the day, photographing the anxiety and anticipation during the bridal and groom prep, the overwhelming excitement during the ceremony, to the often hilarious and heartfelt speeches and toasts, and wrapping it up with dance floor celebration. It's an exciting day!
Will acknowledges and is honored by the great responsibility in capturing the authenticity of his client's wedding day. While not behind the camera lens, Will loves his coffee and anything comic book related.
Irida’s interest in photography began in high school, where she became fascinated by the medium’s capacity to capture authentic moments that told a story. She graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. After a few years of photographing weddings in Michigan, Irida moved to California to further pursue her dream.
Irida also shoots within the fashion industry , and this secondary professional concentration adds a very nice dose of fashion-driven visual aesthetic to her wedding portfolio. She has a habit of making two new best friends at the end of her wedding assignments, so make room for her! She may be petite, but her personality and talent are larger than life.
After graduating from high school in Western Massachusetts where Jennifer was born and raised, she flew to Central America where she studied Spanish and Photojournalism while exploring and documenting her travels. She returned home to attend Hallmark Institute of Photography where she graduated in the top 10% of her class, before moving to New York City where she photographed weddings, events, and fashion editorials for almost ten years.
Jennifer now resides in Los Angeles, CA where she finds inspiration in life’s daily adventures, her love of city grit and glamour, and that one of a kind SoCal sunshine. Her work often emulates the style of a candid fashion editorial.
SEIICHI (Pronunced 'Say-eee-chi')
Seiichi has been shooting weddings professionally since 2013. "It's a challenge to tell a clear, concise, layered story in one frame and that is constantly pushing me to grow, and what better story to get to tell than that of someone’s wedding day. I love what I do.”
Seiichi has been with Two Penguins since its inception. He has worked as a Second Shooter under the Fitz Carlile Studio brand for 2 years, learning our method, best practices and techniques, and now shoots as a lead wedding Photographer with Two Penguins.
